Grouper

Grouper can be found in a variety of environments including hard bottoms such as coral reef, shallow water, deep off-shore waters, and if they are younger, near shore. Just as their environments are varied, so are the methods used to catch these aggressive-striking fish. Many anglers have found success with deep jigging, deep live baiting, chumming patch reefs, deep trolling and even bridge fishing. Fishing for grouper may require you to test a number of different types of bait such as live baits, dead baits, artificial lures or large jigs. One thing you can on with groupers the fact that they love the temperate, tropical waters of the Florida Keys.
