Dolphin

Not to be confused with the beloved mammal, dolphin, also known as mahi-mahi or dorado is one of the most popular off-shore game fish in the Florida Keys. Dolphin, which can vary in size from 3 to 60 lbs., can generally be found in water ranging from 110 feet deep all the way as deep as 1,000 feet. Anglers agree that the best zone for catching dolphin is between 300 to 500 feet deep. This fast, beautiful and acrobatic fish also makes a great meal, known as mahi-mahi, to distinguish it from the smart mammal with the same name.
