Snapper

These mangrove-dwelling fish are notorious for stealing bait and even hooks from fishing lines, they aren’t called snappers for nothing. Many people have found success hooking these fish with live shrimp on the hook and using no weight, while others claim that sardines is the way to go. Snapper can be one of the trickiest fish to catch but with a little patience and some good luck, you can catch one of these fish in the Florida mangroves.
