Sailfish

These dark blue, almost purple fish are well-known for their huge dorsal fin and prominent vertical stripes on their sides. Look for the sails to run between November and April with the peak time varying year to year. Sails are usually caught up to 40 lbs in the Keys with the record in the area held at a massive 105 lbs. and 4 oz. in Key West, back in 1993.
